Introduction

The National Cadet Corps (Hindiराष्ट्रीय कैडेट कोर) is the Indian military cadet corps with its Headquarters at New Delhi. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Force, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schoolscolleges and Universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course but are given preference over normal candidates during selections based on the achievements in the corps.

Programs conducted

  • Celebration of Environmental Day, Yoga Day
  • Opening ceremony in the month of August 2017
  • Cleaning of Govt. Taluk Hospital, Kunnamkulam on October 2017
  • Cleaning of Govt. Ayurveda Hospital, Vysseri
  • Cleaning of “Anganwadi” ,Vyssery
  • Celebration of NCC Day, Independence day, Army Day, Republic Day
  • Exhibition of NCC ceremonials

Camp

  • National Integration Camp at Varanasi and Kozhikode
  • Army Attachment Camp, Pangode
  • All India Trekking Camp at Nattika
  • Combined Annual Training Camp at Mambra and Pazhanji

  • First prize in Republic Day Parade at Kunnamkulam Municipality
  • Best ever performance done in RD Parade at Thrissur
